Uber has agreed to pay up to $100 million and make numerous policy changes as part of a settlement in a pair of class action lawsuits.
The settlement was reached Thursday and makes several concessions to drivers, including providing more information on why drivers have been banned from the service and helping to create "drivers associations."
The class action lawsuits were filed in California and Massachusetts. The settlement applies only to those two states, but could influence regulators elsewhere.
The concessions notwithstanding, the settlement is a victory for Uber.
